smile1Bad teeth are considered to be a top turn off for women. In past surveys asking women what imperfections put them off the most, a bad smile is always seen in the top 10, with only conditions like body odor keeping bad teeth from number 1. A “bad”  smile can be caused by a number of things such as jaw bone structure.  If the jaws don’t fit… then the teeth won’t fit.  Often times, this requires surgery.  When it comes to “bad” teeth that are stained and slightly crooked, the correction is not as involved.  If braces are necessary, google information on Damon braces... they give a beautiful smile.  Be sure to check into invisalign, it is an amazing option!

One of the best ways to begin improving your teeth is simple, by improving your day to day dental care routine you can improve the overall oral health. Buying a good toothbrush and teeth whitening toothpaste will help clean your teeth, freshen your breath and remove plaque and extrinsic stains. Investing in dental floss is a must. The waterpik power flosser   is another alternative. Don’t forget a decent mouthwash will help kill bacteria in the rest of the mouth and on the tongue.

  2. It is totally turn off, who would have wanted it anyway. It’s really not good to look at nor imagine. It is something you should give priorities to because it’s part of your overall health.

  3. Don’t limit this to just a turn off for women haha! As a dentist, I hear plenty of stories from nice young ladies who have felt the rejection caused by a far less than glamorous set of chompers. I often remind my secretaries of this after they finish their ritualistic cups of coffee or after a smoke break.
